Living Shield Ministries is providing more training in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) during the month of October. On Friday and Saturday, November 18-19, 2016 we are having a 14-hour training class in “Group Crisis Intervention.” This training will help to prepare people in the proper way of providing emotional and spiritual care to those who are in crisis.
Group Crisis Intervention presents the core elements of a comprehensive, systematic & multi-component crisis intervention curriculum. This course will prepare participants to understand a wide range of crisis intervention services. Fundamentals of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) will be outlined & participants will leave with the knowledge & tools to provide several group crisis interventions, specifically demobilizations, defusing, & the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD). The need for appropriate follow-up services & referrals when necessary will also be discussed.
